IT-Informatik GmbH: Takeover of Mercoline GmbH
Kloepfel Corporate Finance advised IT-Informatik GmbH, a company of BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft, on the takeover of Mercoline GmbH.
Munich, June 2018 – As an M&A consultant, Kloepfel Corporate Finance advised IT-Informatik GmbH (IT-Informatik) on the purchase of shares in Mercoline GmbH (Mercoline) from Pelikan Group GmbH (Pelikan).
IT-Informatik offers IT solutions for medium-sized companies, from individual SAP solutions to specifically developed applications and the technical infrastructure to tailor-made retail solutions. As a certified partner, Mercoline also offers SAP solutions in the areas of supply chain management, business integration and business intelligence. The acquisition of Mercoline will further strengthen IT Informatik both technically and geographically. At the same time, the performance of the two IT service providers complement each other perfectly and offer great potential for growth with their locations in Ulm, Hamburg and Barcelona (IT Informatik) and in Berlin (Mercoline). The range of services includes both SAP and non-SAP solutions in the areas of transport logistics and foreign trade, the maintenance tool OPRA, consulting services and offerings, as well as e-business solutions in the form of delivery portals, online shops or apps.
The Pelikan Group GmbH concentrates its corporate strategy more on the worldwide expansion of the PBS brand business, which is why the transfer of all Mercoline shares took place.
“It all started in Ulm and this will remain the headquarters of IT-Informatik in the future. In the meantime, however, we also serve companies far around Ulm – which is why we are very pleased to be able to offer tailor-made IT solutions from A to Z together with Mercoline in the Berlin area and far beyond,” says Günter Nägele, managing director of IT-Informatik. And Stephan Schultze, managing director of Mercoline, adds: “With IT-Informatik we have found a partner who not only knows our business, but also understands it. And I am convinced that with our joint offer, we are now ideally positioned for the future”.
The entire process was initiated by Kloepfel Corporate Finance and IT Informatik was supported and advised by them.
